Frequently asked questions
What kind of counselling do you offer at Revive Counselling?
We offer professional, confidential counselling tailored specifically to women. Our services cover a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, low self-esteem, life transitions, and more.
Do you only work with women?
We’re a specialist counselling service focused on the mental health and emotional wellbeing of women and girls. We also work with men through our Workplace Mental Health services for companies.
Where are you based?
We are based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. While most of our sessions are conducted online, we offer a limited number of in-person appointments by arrangement.
How do online counselling sessions work?
Online sessions are held via secure video platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams and WhatsApp. Once your appointment is confirmed, you’ll receive a private link with instructions. All sessions are confidential and adhere to professional ethical guidelines.
Are online sessions as effective as in-person counselling?
Yes. Many clients find online counselling just as effective and more convenient, especially for fitting around busy schedules or avoiding travel.
How do I book a session?
What happens during the initial consultation?
The free initial consultation (15–20 minutes) gives you a chance to ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and decide if we’re the right fit for you. It’s a no-pressure, no-obligation conversation.
How much does counselling cost?
Our standard fee is £80 per session. We also offer package options that provide a lower rate per session for those choosing to book multiple sessions in advance. Full details are available on our pricing page. Please note that payment is required before each session.
How long is each session, and how often do I need to attend?
Sessions typically last 50 minutes. Frequency can be weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs and goals. This can be discussed during your initial consultation.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may incur a fee. Please see our Appointment & Payment Policy for more details.
Are your counsellors qualified and accredited?
Yes. All counsellors at Revive Counselling are qualified, insured, and members of professional bodies such as the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
Is what I say confidential?
Absolutely. Everything shared during sessions is confidential, except in very rare cases where there may be a risk of harm (which will be discussed with you beforehand). Please see our Client Confidentiality Policy for more information.
What do I need for online counselling?
A quiet, private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone (laptop, tablet or phone) are all you need to get started.
I’ve never had counselling before – what can I expect?
That’s okay! Many of our clients are new to counselling. You can expect a respectful, confidential space where you’ll be listened to and supported without judgement. We go at your pace.
